My name is Margaret Bruton and i am a self-taught artist born in South Africa and now based in the United Kingdom.  
I work from a compact studio in the former HMS Belfast ticket office situated on a floating pontoon  on the Thames in London. As you can see from the image..space is very limited! 😳🫣 
I have developed a distinctive artistic practice that embraces both limitation and freedom.   
Surrounded daily by reflections, tides, and the industrial poetry of the river, my paintings try  to capture a sense of emotional energy that is both intimate and expansive.  
My art often explores themes of transition, resilience and connection.  
It is a visual language that is vibrant, instinctive, and deeply personal.  
Each painting reflects a lifestyle built around creativity, adaptability, and immersion in the elements.
